(Almost) Everything I Wore On Our 7-Day Virgin Voyages Cruise + How I Coordinated My Husband's Looks With Mine
March 6th is a very important day in our household.
2013 we started dating.
2019 we got engaged.
2021 we got married.
And this year we celebrated a decade of being together.
It may not seem like a long time to y’all, but considering I’m only 26 and he’s 27, that’s a good chunk of our lives having been together. We’ve always made it a point to celebrate our anniversary, but considering this one was a milestone year, we decided to book a 7-day cruise with Virgin Voyages. Neither of us had been on a cruise before, so what initially drew me to book this one is the fact that it’s adults only. I have a book of reasons why I don’t want kids yet, and in that book you’d also find the reason why I wouldn’t want a bunch of them running around on a ship that I’m vacationing on either.
I also thought that for all that we were getting it was a great deal. A room with a balcony, all food included, nightly shows, a club, workout classes, and the opportunity to visit three new countries for less than $2500. We booked excursions at each port as well as added on a romance package, so of course that added on to that base price, but I still thought it was reasonable.
Per the title of the post, y’all already know that I coordinated Deion’s outfits with mine. This was the first time I’ve ever packed for him because I KNOW he would’ve started the night before our flight, and being that I started packing 3 weeks prior, that was absolutely not going to work. I only focused on the looks that we wore for dinner, but I tried to remember to take pictures of everything I wore throughout the trip, so those will be included as well.
Day 1 - Embarkation Day + Riding Around in Miami + Pajama Party on the Ship
I purchased this dress from NastyGal and thought it would be the perfect vacation dress. To coordinate, I bought Deion this two-tone denim shirt from ASOS. I recommended he put the white tank top underneath, but other than that, the pants and shoes were really his doing. I believe he bought the pants from PacSun, and of course you can find white Forces in most shoe stores that sell athletic shoes.
Both of our sunglasses, as well as my sandals, are from Temu. The sunglasses were the final touch to give us that groovy vibe for sure.
That night, there was a pajama party on the ship that I wore this set from NastyGal to. I forgot to get a picture of Deion’s pajamas, but it was a dark green satin set with shorts and a button up shirt from Amazon. Y’all know I’m an Amazon Associate, so all qualifying purchases made through the paid link above will earn me commission. Going forward, all Amazon links in this post are commission- earning.
We also ended up going to the jacuzzi this night, probably before the pajama party, so I wore a black swimsuit with sheer pants to cover up. This was also purchased from Temu.
Day 2 - Day at Sea + Our Anniversary
Day 2 was our anniversary. We started the day with a yoga class, got breakfast, and went to the spa for a few hours. Later that day, we ate dinner at Extra Virgin, which is the Italian restaurant on the ship. I purchased my dress from ShowPo and low-heeled sandals from Amazon. Deion’s shirt is from ASOS, pants from Express, and sandals are also from Amazon. After dinner, we enjoyed a bottle of champagne on the top deck, and I believe ventured to the club later on that night.
Day 3 - Snorkeling and Kayaking in Roatán + Dinner
Roatán is an island in Honduras. It was the first of three countries we visited, and here we snorkeled and kayaked. Let me just say, Deion and I can swim, but we are far from the strongest ones out there, so our snorkeling tour guides literally drove us to the middle of the ocean and told us to jump in and snorkel. It was cool to see the fish and what not, but I was not expecting it to be like that at all. As a cover up, I wore a grey two-piece set from Temu and my Teva sandals since they’re considered water shoes. The bikini is another Amazon find that I’ll include the paid link for here.
As for Dinner, I’m wearing a striped maxi dress from ShowPo and lace up sandals from Amazon. Deion is wearing a black, satin button up shirt from ASOS, white pants from Express, and the black sandals from Amazon that I linked under day 2.
Day 4 - ATVs in Costa Maya, Cocktail Hour on the Top Deck, Dinner, and Scarlet Night!
Day four may have been my favorite day. We had an absolute blast riding those ATVs. Granted, it wasn’t our first time riding ATVs, but at least for me, it was the only ATV tour I’ve done where we were able to go full speed. I wore this blue matching set from Temu, which is the same exact one that I wore in grey on day 3. Afterwards, we went to the beach and just relaxed until it was time to get back on the ship. I’m obsessed with the bikini that I wore on this day, and you probably guessed it, but it’s also from Amazon.
Once we got back on the ship, we got ready and went to the exclusive cocktail hour that was a part of the romance package that we purchased. My dress is from Blush Mark, sandals from Amazon, and Deion’s shirt is from Goodwill, shorts from PacSun, and sandals from ASOS. Afterwards, with a nice buzz from the bubbly, we headed to Pink Agave, their Mexican restaurant, for our dinner.
Scarlet Night is what I would say was the night of partying on the ship. Everyone is encouraged to wear red, so we changed before the festivities started. I’m wearing a two-piece set that I bought a few years back from BooHoo, and Deion is wearing the same pair of shorts and a red collared shirt from Amazon. There was a pool party, different kinds of music being played in different parts of the ship, and then there was the after party at the club. It was great time.
Day 5 - Day at Sea + Chill Day
We did a good bit of lounging on this day, so for dinner, I wore this satin dress and pink sandals from Amazon. For the life of me I can’t remember where I bought it from, but I figured Deion’s peacock print shirt would pair well with it. I think he bought it from Ross, and paired it with white chino shorts from ASOS, and the brown sandals from ASOS that I linked under day 4.
Day 6 - Jet Skiing in the Bahamas + Virgin Voyages’ Private Beach Club at Bimini + The Final Dinner
The last full day of the cruise was also one of my favorites. We jet skied in the Bahamas and honestly just played in the waves like kids. Of each country we visited, the water here was definitely the most beautiful. It was also enjoyable because Virgin Voyages owned this beach club, so we didn’t have to share the space with people from other cruise lines or be bothered by a bunch of people trying to sell us stuff like we experienced in Costa Maya. This bikini was bought from Temu, and it came with a pair of matching shorts that I put on as we were leaving the ship and once it was time to go back.
For dinner, we went back to the Test Kitchen which is where we also ate dinner on day 3. By this point, we had eaten at all of the restaurants, so Deion wanted to go back here because they had a different menu from the one we had earlier in the week. I wore this dress and matching headscarf from NastyGal with a pair of lace up sandals from Amazon, and I had Deion wear an emerald green, velvet button up shirt from ASOS, leather shorts from ASOS, and the black sandals from Amazon that I linked previously. It may be difficult to tell, but my dress has a splash of emerald green in it, so his shirt goes really well with it.
Between day 2’s look and this one, I can’t quite decide which is my favorite, but they’re definitely my top two from this trip.
Day 7 - Disembarkation
We had to be off of the ship by 9:30, so I grabbed breakfast, which happened to be Avocado toast and a bowl of Miso Udon because it was absolute fire. I didn’t get any pictures of what we wore off of the ship, but we both had on matching sets from Temu. My post-vacation blues were setting in because it hit me that we were flying into Asheville, which was a whole ass 40 degrees cooler than it was in Fort Lauderdale/Miami, so I ended up changing once we got to the airport.
I also felt the need to share a photo of the elote that I had in Costa Maya - so bomb.

This was the best vacation I’d been on, and I’m so sad the week went by so quick, but I would 1000% book another cruise with Virgin Voyages. They have several itineraries in Europe that I’d be interested in doing, so we’ll see how Deion is feeling once it’s time to book another vacation.
If you’re thinking of booking a cruise with Virgin, and you have some lingering questions, feel free to ask away in the comments!
