Ain't No Yellow Like a Mustard Yellow

Ain't No Yellow Like a Mustard Yellow

For years I could never answer one of the simplest questions that many people tend to get asked, and that's "what's your favorite color?". In middle school in was definitely lime green, but from high school until now I generally felt the same regarding all the colors. Lately, the color yellow has been sending me all sorts of good vibes, especially mustard yellow. When I'm in the mood to add a pop of color to an outfit, yellow is always the first color that I think of. Wearing a blue dress? Pair it with yellow. Orange jumpsuit? Pair it with yellow. I kind of feel like a hypocrite because I literally only have two articles of clothing in my closet that are yellow, including this dress. A yellow pair of pumps are definitely on my list on things to buy along with a yellow handbag, preferably the Coach one that I saw in the Mall last week.

Outfit Deets

This look was very basic if we're being honest, but the good kind of basic. There isn't a lot going on, but the pop of burgundy and funky shoes adds just the right touches. I got this dress from Bealls Outlet for $13 I think. The color is what drew me in but the cutout in the back is what had me sold. Anything that allows me to show off my back tattoo has a 89% chance of becoming apart of my wardrobe. These shoes were bought as a courtesy of my boyfriend, so I can't really remember the price of them, but they came from Rue21. When I first saw them I couldn't really come to a conclusion about how I felt about them; it's like I liked them but I didn't care for them at the same time. I don't know what that deciding factor was that made me say that I actually would wear these, but whatever it was I'm glad it came to mind. In one of the featured looks that I used in my "Fall/Winter 2017 Lookbook Project", I decided to use this burgundy cross-body bag (Forever 21) as an accessory. It's a completely different kind of look so be sure to check that out if you haven't already done so!
